I  graduated from Multnomah School of the Bible in 1968.  I then pursued my RN degree.  I worked one year at Virginia Mason Hospital and then went to Zambia, Africa to work at Mukinge Hospital.  I worked as a nurse there and trained 40 student nurses for 4 1/2 yrs. My next work was 7 years at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Mount Vernon as Director of Discipleship and overseeing Women's Ministry including teaching Bible Classes.   I then went to Indiana and received a Master's of Counseling Degree there.  The following year  I did an Internship with Wycliffe Bible Translators Counseling Department in Dallas, Texas. Then I accepted a position as Dean of Women at Multnomah University in Portland, Oregon for 9 years.  During that time I married my wonderful husband, Harvey Shackleton. We moved back to Mount Vernon and I was able to retire in 1997 and helped care for my  Mother until her death.  Harvey retired 10 years later than I.  Currently, we volunteer for BloodWorks Northwest taking blood from a blood drive and delivering it to the nearest airport.  We also spend many hours at ball games for two of our grandchildren.  Life is a joy!

Looking forward to spending time in the Skagit Valley. My SVCC (Skagit Valley Community College) sweetheart, David Asher, met there in fall of 1965, and married in 1969.  After he continued another year and a half at Biola University in La Mirada, California, we returned to Western Washington College (now University).  I taught in Lynden for 2 1/2 years while he completed his master's degree. We taught in Adelaide, South Australia, for a year. We then relocated to Yelm, WA, where we have been for nearly 40 years. We have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. i retired from teaching in 2006, retired from substitute teaching in 2015 (David says that will be the day!) He still has several rentals that he manages.

Ann & Bill & Judy, Thank you for all your work.  I have no idea if my "RSVP" worked.  I am coming without my wife (her mother's 90th BD party in Yakima - multiple events on the same 3 days). I will attend the Friday night social and the Sat Evening Main Event.   My youngest daughter will be with me but not for these two events.  I am also interested in the MVHS campus tour and the Padialla Bay walk / ride. To whom or to where should I mail a large bulldog poster that anyone may use at any venue for any event and is yours to keep or sell...looking forward, Mike

Hey yall,

Just wanted to add someone else to the "missing classmates" list.  His name is Brian Osborne.  He's on page 45 of the 1965 Skagina.  Over the years I've tried to track him down without success.
A note about Brian Osborne: I have a "possible" address for Brian, which I have sent to Paul.  Hopefully Paul will write Brian and find him. I will be sending you all lists of people that are not yet on the missing classmates" list.  With your help, hopefully we can find many of them! ann
