We did it!

Not only are we (still) convinced we are the best class, now we are convinced we had the best reunion EVER!!!!
A wonderful time was had by all.

Friday was a beautiful day filled with golf and for 53 of us, a boat trip through Deception Pass.  Then of course there was the Friday evening social, which was so well attended, we have no idea how many were there.  A few extras from classes before and after us and lots and lots of classmates.
Saturday we had a delicious breakfast at the Farmhouse and 50 of us enjoyed hearing about some of the wonderful non-profit charitable activities of ten of our classmates.
Then we had a big group of us who toured the high school.  "Old Main" looked pretty much the same except no lockers in the halls, and the auditorium is remodeled, smaller and missing the balcony that shook and shuddered during the 1965 earthquake!  The planetarium we knew is gone, much to the dismay of many of us, but after talking with Mr. Dixon on Saturday evening, he said there is a newer, bigger and better one.  The best part for me was seeing our "new" gym" which is now the "old gym."  It looks virtually the same.  Our "old gym" is still standing, but is now a fine arts building.
Saturday evening we talked, laughed, ate, drank, sang (lyrics will be posted) cried, and talked and laughed some more.
Some of us also gathered Sunday for breakfast at the Sports Keg and a picnic at Hillcrest Park.  There were also a few classmates from most of the other years in the 60s.  A fun end to a great 50th reunion weekend.
A big THANK YOU from the reunion committee to everyone who came and made this reunion so special!
