I retired last year and I love it. It is so nice not to have to follow a schedule.   I enjoy going to my grandchildrens sporting events and helping babysit my great grandson who is 3.  My husband and I love taking care of him he is such a delight!!!   I love gardening and growing my many flowers and vegetables in the summer.  Also we love our family camping trips.   I am looking forward to seeing everyone at our reunion.

I retired after 35 years in banking in 2010 and moved from Michigan (where I had lived since 1968) to Ohio to be closer to children and grandchildren. Besides keeping up with the activities of grandkids, Cathy & I enjoy a bit of travel, biking, kayaking and I am an avid runner.

Our daughter & son in law leave for Paris July 31st & we have our grandkids for the week.  Late June trip to Paris was delayed.  We were planning to come.

Married 3 10
My wife Jeanie and I have been married 33 years and we have 3 daughters, 10 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. I worked for National Frozen Foods in their Farm Shop for 30 years and when they left Skagit County I started a small home and building repair and maintenance business. I have thoroughly enjoyed doing that for the last 15 years but now I only really do work for one client, The Gilbert Family, that has several commercial buildings and homes around the valley.  They keep me busy enough to keep me out of trouble and it gives me time to work more than full time remodeling an old farmhouse west of town along McLean Road. We are almost done with that house and believe me it will be our last big remodel.  We did a house in town in LaConner over the years and we both enjoy working with wood and power tools!

I'm looking forward to our reunion, hoping I can recognize at least some of you!

Hello Friends,  I,  like many of you, wake up each morning thanking God for a brand new day, but wishing my aches and pains didn't make it so hard to crawl out of bed.  My one and only wife, Carel and I live in wine country, in the little town of Prosser, WA.  Our oldest daughter and her family live in Yakima and our youngest daughter lives in Washington D.C. with her husband.  We have three granddaughters who allow us to attend their soccer, basketball and dance recitals, etc., on a never ending basis.  The two youngest are in our "Now" photo.  As for the "Then" picture..  I still have dreams where my hair grows back!
I joined the Air Force in September of 1966 after a few quarters at Skagit Valley College and spent a year in S.E. Asia learning about the politics of war and seeing a part of the world that is still now in my life.  I returned to do a couple of years at Western (WWU), then onto WSU where I received a Bachelors Degree in Food Science.  I worked at Del Monte Research, Pacific pearl Seafoods, Chateau Ste Michelle, Twin City Foods, and retired about 6 years ago from ConAgra Foods.  Since then I've cancelled all my retirement plans because I was bored and returned to being a substitute teacher in Prosser, Grandview and Sunnyside.  My desired classes are kindergarten thru third grade and also Special Education from Kinder thru Senior High School.
Some of the hard knocks in my life have given me a reason to have a change in focus on my faith and I am now attempting in a haphazard way to be and do what Jesus would want me to be and do.  Far from walking on water, I have  found purpose in being a mini-missionary. (But, hey, I am still me!)  Carel and I have been to  Cambodia, Thailand, China and Myanmar together and in 2007 I was worked a couple of weeks at an orphanage four hours north of Hanoi.  But the neat thing happened in 2010 when at a previous reunion, our friend Mike Fisher invited me to join him on a trip to China.  Mike and I later spent two summers doing a university and a grade school English camp together near Chongqing and Beijing.  Since then I have been working with a group out of Auckland, NZ and have I been back each year working with University students in Xian, China, two or three times a year.  So in addition to my faith, my loving family, the  hiking in the Cascades and my motorcycle, China has become my passion.  I look forward sharing the experiences and to be hearing about all of yours.  Carel retires from her job with Benton County next March and our intentions are to go, ....whereever we are lead, ... "Over the Hill".   I am old enough to know I shouldn't and cannot, forecast what that will be.   (I am enjoying reading all of your profiles).

Married 4 9
I'm happily married, happily retired and a proud grandmother of 9 wonderful grandchildren.  I worked for Pacific NW Bell/US WEST/Qwest for 34 years, the last 15 years of which I was an expert witness.  In order to appear  like an expert witness, they sent me to graduate school, where I got a Masters in Regulatory Economics.

Dale and I have been married for 25 years and we are in the process of building a new house just a few doors down from where we now live on a small lake on beautiful Whidbey Island.  We love it here.

After my mother's death in 2012 I inherited all her genealogy, which was extensive and then I discovered a "famous" person.  This enabled me to trace through history books back to 350 AD.  Crazy huh?  In order to make it more interesting and meaningful I'm writing fictionalized stories of our family history.   This could take me the rest of my life, and perhaps no one will be interested in reading them, but I enjoy the research.

We still ski in the winter, and kayak year round.  I have walked around Whidbey more than 2+ times and kayaked around it once.  Whidbey is 156 miles around.
