The reunions have always been a source of joy. It is fun seeing how we as a group have moved through time together even though we have done it in different places. I just look forward to saying hello to everyone and remembering those who will not be with us.  50 years have gone by and we thought we might all stay 18 years old. What a ride! Hello everyone and thanks for creating this site.  I've tried the retirement lifestyle a few times, found some aspects of that lacking so am working full-time for now. My long-standing goal is to work from laptop while traveling at will.  Working hard to achieve that. I attend school and support charities whenever possible. This year I learned of a veterans group that assists an orphanage in the Central Highlands of Vietnam where I served. Having raised donations online for the Starlight Children's Foundation, I've offered that help to the veterans group www.friendsofvso.org. If that doesn't work I may start my own nonprofit for charity fundraising using skills I'm learning in Google Adwords and Search Engine Optimization.       Send Steve a MessageSend Steve a Message

Amazing a 1/2 century since high school graduation, wow how time flies through the twists and turns on both paved and unpaved roads.   I am married to a fantastic man, who retired after 34 years in the Navy and is currently working as a Budget officer at NAS Lemoore, CA.   I decided to opt for early retirment myself from civil service (MCAS Cherry Point,  N.C.) as a Security/Safety and Radiation Protection Officer when Bob received his orders to CA in 2002.  The timing was perfect with BRAC and base closures so I seized this opportunity for an early retirement at 55.  We now live on the same coast as our children and grandchildren with the closet being 45 minutes away in Fresno, CA.  We have 7 grandchildren and one great granddaughter.   Two of our granddaughters graduate this year from high school and this is why I won't be attending the 50th class reunion.  I hope everyone has a great time and I look forward to hearing about the reunion on FB,  email and reading Dan Pederson's blog about this epic event.  Best wishes to all of the 1965 graduating class.

Since High School I did what most "draft dodgers" did, went to college.  After three years at WSU, Dave Loomis and I joined the Army Reserves as Dental Assistants.  If we ever got called to active duty, we would go to a 40 hour a week job at the Presidio in San Francisco.  You might say, "We joined the reserves in the right war."  After returning from Reserve Training I finished college at the U of W with a BA in Business.

In 1972 I married Susan Barry who Graduated from Western Washington University.  Now after almost 43 years, I am still on "Daily Probation" and she refers to me as her "Starter Husband."  We established three principals for a long, successful marriage.

1.) Both people work.
2.) Separate checking accounts.
3.) No ****ing children.

We are both officially retired now.  We have elderly mothers who by all indications are going to live to a 156 years old.  We enjoy travel and being an embarassment to our great nieces and nephews.

I retired after 30 years with Herman Miller, Inc.  I have a small consulting business and volunteer at SCORE where I am the current Chair.

For fun I play (bad golf) with Dave Loomis and Denny Olsen.  And now after 54 years, I am still riding motorcycles with Tim Rosenhan and Bob Stanley.  Since college we have ridden over 100,000 miles together  all over North America.

I look forward to visiting with you all in August 2015.

I have been married to Vern for 48 years. We have 2 children and 4 granddaughters. After 38 years in banking I retired.   We moved to Yuma, Az. about 10 years ago. We do escape the summer heat and take our RV up to Washington to visit family and friends. I can't wait to see everyone next summer at our 50th. reunion. Send Kathy a MessageSend Kathy a Message
