Married
My husband and I are still operating our marine propulsion control business.  Visit us at www.ppcsystemsinc.com.  We continue to do all A/P and A/R year round but we have an associate that does the technical work during the winter months.  We spend the winters in Sun Lakes, AZ in our main home and spend summers in Mount Vernon in our little cottage.
Bill loves to golf and I enjoy cooking, doing crafts, reading and spending time with my gal pals.  I didn’t have children so I have no grandkids to brag about.
We traveled a lot with our business the last 20 years and are now enjoying being in Sun Lakes or Mount Vernon except for occasional trips to the east coast where all of Bill’s siblings live.
Our main vice is wine and we love to wine taste and share our treasures with friends.

Sure looking forward to seeing all of you that will make it! Send Donna a MessageSend Donna a Message

I have remained in the area and have lived in Bow since graduating except for the time my husband was in the Air Force.  I retired in October 2014 from the Burlington-Edison School District where I was an Administrative Assistant.  My husband of nearly 50 years, John, is an Administrator for the same district.  We have a daughter and son that live in Burlington and two granddaughters that attend Edison Elementary.  We feel very fourtunate that we live close and see each other often.  We have two Goldendoodle dogs and spend vacations in our RV or our favorite place to travel with the family, Disneyland.

It was a pleasure to hear from the MVHS class of 65. I am back! I left Mount Vernon HS at the end of my Junior year. I graduated from Mount Baker HS in Deming, WA, in 1965. The move was the best thing that could have happened to me, since it gave me a new start and probably turned my life around. After graduation, I went to work at Northern State Hospital and earned my nursing license, through Skagit Valley College. In 1971, I went to work for Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO) for whom I worked for almost 30 years. My career was in Safety Engineering, in the petrochemical industry and power industry (electricity production). My assignments were in Alaska, Texas and Colorado. After retiring from ARCO, I did safety consulting for various companies, including work in Venezuela and Mexico. My last assignment was in Tennessee, under contract with the TVA. During this time, I completed my college by earning a BS degree from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin in 1993.

My wife of almost 50 years, Georgiann, and I are retired and living on a small farm near Fayetteville, Texas. Besides the farm upkeep, we keep busy by our church study and participation. I have also started writing the family histories and have found out that we were more interesting than I thought. My assignments in Venezuela and Mexico allowed me to connect to my Spanish heritage, which has been a blessing for us. I have also found out that I am really a Texan at heart, after living in Texas since 1979.

We have four very sucessful children, all attended college, one even earning his PhD in Mathematics. One thing we made sure, was that our children would have better opportunities than our generation. Three of our children live in Texas and one lives in Alaska.

We look forward to attending the reunion, but are awaiting news for MBHS, hopefully we can attend both reunions. I was saddened by the loss of a number of our classmates in recent years, several that I had worked with in Washington. Hope to see everyone.
